infrared flight by the calfire for mapping heat perimeters. the usfs has their own planes that have a longer number n149z
you can also look on the faa registry to see who owns the plane in question by looking up it’s number
Calfire does not have night flying IR, it’s either AA51, NIROPS or air craft 3
N40Y is USFS AA51. Dispatched by ANF. It will provide infrared flights as requested as well as provide ATGS to night flying helicopters
