The wind is on this fire. It has not been doing that much. It has been up on a “bench.” But it looks to me like it is about to go down into one of the steep canyons that cut through the bench. Things get hard in the canyons.

Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue #GarsonFire near Boomtown (Verdi) is lit up tonight, but retardant has surrounded the perimeter and crews remain on the fire overnight. Air attack will resume in the morning.
