Per HTF Tweet the fire is now 5,000 acres with 0 percent containment.

Wind gusting to 84 MPH a top Mt Charleston.

On Black Mtn nearby the wind is apparently blowing so hard the city lights in the camera view are looking like squiggles half the time from the shaking of the camera

The fire laid down nicely last night, my guess is the fuel is marginally receptive to fire still and as soon as RH went up/winds calmed down no active burning due to fuel moisture still being high.

Several tankers are working it now.

2,794 acres due to better mapping and 10% contained. Another red flag warning goes into effect tomorrow
