September 14 Update from Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest:
Resources worked through the night securing hot spots and reinforcing firelines. There was minimal rollout from burning vegetation last night in comparison to the previous shift. Fire is currently at 36 acres and 25% containment.
Look for crews to continue to progress on the upper portion of the fire today with containment efforts. Fire managers are hopeful that the weather will remain in our favor over the next few days and allow firefighters to get the upper hand on the incident. Firefighters from Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, Tahoe Douglas Fire, Cal Fire, Bureau of Land Management, East Fork Fire and Nevada Division of Forestry are on scene suppressing the fire.
Four Helicopters, Four Crews, 4 Engines, 1 Air Attack and miscellaneous overhead will be working throughout the day and night again today on the Wolf Creek Fire. Additional resources will be coming in today as well. Also, A local Fire Team is on scene managing the Incident.
