Currently the fire size is estimated at 699 acres, and we are happy to report that it is 72% contained. There was a flare up yesterday afternoon in a drainage area with heavy brush burning that produced a lot of smoke. Due to the challenging access for the firefighters, two fire boss air tankers were called in to assist with dropping water which was very successful.
All evacuation levels are still in place per the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office.
