I’m assuming the state has a similar inspection facility in Southern California, but it wouldn’t surprise me if the resources from lower states were made to drive up to Davis.

This is a thread about fire truck inspections. The emissions part was in error and it is actually about total inspections. If you don’t like this thread go over to the fire threads. There are plenty of them.

With due respect, the thread is about out of state Strike Teams having to stop for emissions inspections. This has proven to be a lie. Comments from those doing the inspections, have stated they have not even tested emissions. For those of us that have or were in the fire business, a safety check after any deployment is mandatory to insure the safety of the personnel on those vehicles. An inspection after a long drive makes good sense!!! Not all departments are equal as far as maintenance is concerned. Quite frankly, there are some scary emergency rolling stock out there!
What else is there to say???
