PFAS contamination

For those are unaware. PFAS will be the agent orange of our generation. So far little is being done.

I think it’s important for all firefighters to understand the risks. Even the wildland folks. This isn’t just a structural firefighter issue. Class A foams have PFAS/PFOA in them and any contact absorbs through the skin. PFSA /PFOA increase risk of cancer, kidney and liver disease, high cholesterol, and many other diseases.

I’m reading that the PFAs are in the structural
Turnouts , In the water repellent. So how much is in Wildland nomex ? My button up yellow has no water proof properties . Does it still have PFAs like in turnouts ?
