Has anyone been using the WiFIRE or Pyregence Wildfire Spread models?
I have been checking out the Pyregence Spread Model, and we are interested in getting feedback on how well people think the tools work, and where they are weak - I am on the project team as a tester/advisor.

The Pyregence/Pyrecast model is showing potential for the East Evans Creek Fire to make major runs to the south in next couple days. Anyone out there using the PyreCast model, and any thoughts on its general performance and/or spread scenarios for this fire?
The fire seems to be thoroughly kicking their asses for past couple days, with big runs for a couple hours each afternoon generating long-range spotting and rapid growth on the new starts.

Lot’s of private lands that has been logged over the past 25 years according to my son who worked FS Fuels there. Many slash piles and heavy’s left over very easy to burn.
