It is with heavy heart the Redding Fire Department announced the passing of Fire Chief Gerry Gray he died in his sleep this morning he will be missed by the Redding Fire Department and the community he was a great Fire Chief and friend to many RIP Chief

He was an amazingly humble, patient and gentle man, great father, friend, teacher, and chief. He was also instrumental in defining the 21st century PIO, with social media and being as transparent to the community as possible so they were better informed and educated on how their fire department operates.
