looks like fire crews are trying to keep the fire perimeter as narrow as possible and evacuate residents on the northern side of the fire as conditions are too dangerous to put crews there, the fire is expected to have high resistance to control again today as it was yesterday.

Texas A&M Forest Service officials reported that firefighters took advantage of more favorable weather conditions to make progress on the 80,000-acre Ross Fire, as it continued to burn across Palo Pinto and Jack counties, though containment remains at only 12%.

Approx 100 miles east of the dividing line.
