Twenty years ago, night shift began on July 28, 2002. That night while working outside of Happy Camp on the Stanza Fire-Klamath National Forest, LNF-E11 with it’s crew, left the roadway and rolled down a steep mountainside. Lost were Steven Oustad, Heather DePaolo-Johnny and John Self. The firefighting world will never forget them, their families and the many who helped at the scene that night. Forever in our hearts and in our thoughts. Be safe out there and always look after one another.
