Tanker 118 safe at MCC

For those who listened mid-flight but did not hear the outcome, T118 declared inflight emergency about 30min out of McClellan, major hydraulic leak. Metro Fire was activated.

He landed safely at MCC approx 1940 tonight, stayed on the runway for a bit going through their checklists, then cleared the runway and airport opened back up. “Nice Landing” was heard from the tower.

Me’s thinks the tower tipped their hat because I believe the quote from the pilot was " on aux hydraulics and have INABILITY to steer nose gear" (15 mins prior to landing)
