Really scratching my head as to why the Times & Riva had to bring up AND feed into a demographics issue when the write up is about the death of a firefighter. Out of respect for our fallen i’ll just say that it feels gross & out of place to drive the conversation in that direction..

While this article is focused on a fear of new logging, I think the more worrying part of this article is that the Chief comes out right after people died aggressively attacking a fire under extreme conditions, which pretty much ended up going out on its own before it ever got to any important assets-at-risk, and says we need to be more aggressive in our firefighting.
