Growing wind-driven wildfire in the Bingen/Lyle area of the Columbia River Gorge that started the afternoon of 07/18/25. 6500+ acres with structures being impacted.

14 residences destroyed, 37 damaged, 30 outbuildings destroyed, 50 outbuildings damaged so far. The fire was active throughout the night, west winds 10-15 gusting to 25 are expected today.
hopefully they get a team assigned and the needed resources to help mitigate this fire
Its the #1 priority fire in the country today.
Southeast Region, Washington DNR. CIMT (NW Team 13) mobilizing. Five miles west of Lyle, WA. Grass, brush and timber. Active fire behavior with running, torching and long-range spotting. Numerous residences threatened. Evacuations, area and road closures in effect.
