Lots of strike teams out and I’m sure cover assignments included. Bumping this for visibility.
No point even posting. Almost every unit has Charlie requests for covers. Units state wide are stripped. And as units get them. Large orders are being pumped out.
Hold all personnel for NOPS AND SOPS.
I saw a Truckee Meadows FPD STE in Williams, Ca this morning.
For those who do not follow the daily ops of the department, what is the staffing level right now?
Not sure of every unit however MMU is transitioning to peak staffing after this week. One week to late!
SOPS isn’t even at peak staffing yet. All their rehires are occurring now. NOPS has been at peak for about 2 weeks. Now with the hold all staffing patterns most equipment has been unstaffed with on coming and off going personnel.
I don’t miss that……

Made the drive from Bakersfield to Las Vegas on Tuesday the 18th and saw at least 30 engines heading into California. Only 1 CalFire S/T, the rest all single increment engines. They all looked to be local government rigs that were likely from out of the state moving in to cover federal areas.
CAL FIRE/ San Luis Obispo County Fire (SLU) transitions to Peak Staffing Monday, June 24, 2024
RRU 9310C and RRU 9311C enroute to Station 18 immediate need. Didn’t catch their engines and not sure where they’re off to afterwards.
