Bear MTN Shasta Cam is in for a fight… Dang…
Copter drop direct hit on the solar and vault. Breathed a little more life into the camera.
THAT’s just AWESOME!!!
Is that a temp cam? Looked like it didn’t have a cleared a space as some of the older telecom sites.
It is a mid-slope site below the peak/fire lookout, no ground access. Helicopter-only basically.
Copy thanks. That makes sense.
Shasta Modoc Highline Trail cam is back online which will give a great eyeball on the east side of SHU-Fawn fire. The WISP must have swung their feed to a different site after they lost the Bear Mtn site. Unsure of extent of damage to the Bear Mtn site, but it’s interior fire perimeter with still active fire there. Also zero ground access to the site, helicopter-only, so might be a delayed recovery.
New batch-o-cams in the mix on the AlertWildfire Status Page as of today. Some fantastic additions to the toolbox.
Particularly like the additional cam to round out the 3-pack on Mt Hamilton for SCU.
I wish the dark Bald Mtn Heli base cam was up and in the mix. Better view all around than Strawberry. Miss it.
4 more EXCELLENT additions to the list.
Sierra Buttes - Fantastic!
Petaluma is a nice step towards filling the void in west Sonoma County
still need one for Scott Valley,SIS!Q CTY>
Is the MiamiPeak1 camera stuck in one position? It has been focused in on one house, day and night, for several days and hasn’t moved. It is odd when there is a tremendous amount of other ground to cover.
returned to home position
Thank you very much for the prompt response and repositioning! I had previously noted that on occasion someone was really good at aligning the two cameras to provide an panorama shot of the whole area. Very interesting that someone could do that coordinated movement. We do appreciate it.
Is the X axis set to Magnetic North or True North?
