That’ll be a good camera for looking up into the drainages on either side once the smoke clears. However this and the Round Mtn camera replacements have their contrast and sharpness cranked to an extreme. Flournoy in the last 30min seems to have just fixed theirs, but Round is unusable in the day, and nearly pure black at night. Maybe I’m just asking too much for cameras in intense smoke?
Ahh, Flournoy just bounced back to high contrast. I’m playing with my Axis gear and trying to replicate this view and can’t figure out what they’ve tweaked other than definitely a very high contrast.

" Here’s a little more good news: We are super super busy with getting new #cameras online. We’ve got one in #Yuba County and three in #Mendocino County that will be online within the next few days. We will announce them soon!".
Its been awhile since Mendocino County has got a camera. The last one being the Redwood Valley camera. It will be interesting to see where they are located.
I’m still trying to get my eyeballs callibrated for the IR on the webcams. Things look really swollen and large at night, like last night’s spot as seen from St Helena cam, but it’s hard to know how exagarated the heat is by the IR sensor. Same thing on the Flea Mtn cam watching Bear Fire spots around Cresta. They looked pretty fierce, and then the sun came up, and on normal mode, you could hardly see anything.
