Looks like there’s now a small spot by Hog Flat off Hwy 44
I doubt it would be related to Dixie, fire is still 10 miles away.
Conard Incident
There is a major fiber line running along hiway 44 and the fire is approaching within the next 1-12 hours. When this line is damaged communications in the Susanville, Westwood, Chester, Greenville, Crescent Mills will be impacted. Cell, 911, Internet may be slow or completely offline depending on your carrier. Fire cameras should not be impacted. This will be the same type of outage as occurred on the Hog fire last year.
CalFire IMT-3 took command of the Dixie fire this morning.

Fire continues to spread in several areas:
Moving 2 miles south from the Swain Mtn Snowmobile Park down onto Brush Hill, toward Westwood (fire is still 5 miles north of town, around Willow Lake, north of Beardsley Grade, and on Coyote Peak. No major spread toward Susanville or Janesville overnight.

Much of the fire was relatively subdued today.
Notable spread south of the Swain Mtn Snow Park on A-21, north of Eisenheimer Pk, and around Willow Lake. No major spread toward Susanville or Janesville today.

They aren’t going to hold A21 and fire is making hard push to south towards Westwood

LNF IA task force getting a smoke on Morgan Mtn, just NE of 89/36 intersection to Lassen Park - ugghh here we go. 30x30 so far, no road access, multiple downstrikes occurring, little precip.
1915 update: Dixie Div P resources taking this new spot on Morgan Mtn. The LNF IA task force remaining on patrol for new starts in the Mineral/36 area after the cell goes through.
