Sigma…All the responses so far are correct. On an incident like this it is very chaotic at first. Until the resources unit is set and IAP starts rolling out there is no good way to track every order. This fire is just entering its second Op/Burn Period. Branches and Divisions are still being set and actively reconciling what they have vs. what they need.
The Moderater’s ask that we keep this on topic, Although tracking resources is of interest, the more important thing is to keep the thread providing pertinent fire info. There are likely hundreds of requests for this fire of all kind of resources. Some will take days to fill and won’t arrive for even longer.
Twitter for the “Park Fire” is full of Spam so Folks are likely checking here for up to date info. As soon as IAP’s are developed they will be posted when available. Then resources can be tracked by Branch and Division.
Thank you all for such a great thread on a rapidly developing major emergency fire.
Airattack stating cambellville will be impacted within the next couple hours and major impact to the Ishi wilderness as well
Right on. Been to a couple dwarf car races there back in the day. Nice little Mexican restaurant across the street from what I remember. It’s about to get real busy with everyone coming.
Silver Dollar Fairgrounds in Chico, last I heard.
That will take several days to fill with all the phone calls happening and lining up of crews. Good job ordering ahead
Silver Dollar Fairgrounds
30 min loop shows surface winds blowing in two completely different directions…Last few frames there is a blow up to the south

So it’s going back for a second helping?
3 hours after the initial order, T-911 is almost at scene from SBD.
The fire looks to be established in the bottom on chico creek canyon.
Assuming they were given a 10am early up, or similar.
Picture from a friend in East Vina. Lots of spot fires kicking out into the foothills above the Vina Plains and below the main fire. Locals are doing what they can with farm equipment.
That could be a number of things…island burning, small firing operation…or, of course, a slop over.
Family friend is up there on farm equipment and that one is a spot larger than he and his buddies can handle. Forwarded info to Division but was told there are a lot of spots in the hills now and they’re trying to prioritize.
Any idea when there expecting impact?
Taken next to Vina Helibase for reference
See several smokes popping up on the hill.
Possibly from last night’s down hill push?
