CA-BTU-PARK-2024???

I’m looking for the current ICS 205. Do you have any information on where I can stay up to date on the daily current list? Spent some good amount of time researching with zero leads. Thanks in advance & stay safe!

353,194 acres and the fire is now 12% contained per CAL FIRE.

Great containment being made! Weathers helping them out there!

@fyre It’s going to take over a month to contain. All resources will be committed for weeks

They needed this weather change for much needed help. Hopefully they can continue to build line and make progress on perimeter control today. When the high pressure builds in it will test a lot of their line that has been or being built. Hopefully it will all hold.

It’s a little breezy at our house in Sonora. Blowing the wind chimes around. Winds can be a help or drawback when trying to build or hold line.

100%. Taking advantage while they can to bolster lines

Indeed the weather change has helped, you bet, BUT we are headed back to impactful weather (heat and wind) soon which will test things. Generally these smaller containment figures you see are containment of lines from point of origin forward, not necessarily the head lol. That will take time. From my experiences this fire may be contained, but not be fully controlled until Sept or even October. Time, weather and other factors will tell. A LOT if fire season as we call it left.

There’s still miles of open line. I recall them almost having Dixie contained until she got the right winds to her back and took out Greenville in an evening before proceeding to burn another 500,000 acres. Head on a swivle, folks. Fire season is only just getting started, historically speaking.

Yes, 100%.
We are exactly in the same timing you’re talking about with Dixie. After an impressive initial run, she laid down the last 4 or 5 days of July and wreaked havoc for most of August.

Safety Tip: Keep an eye on your water.

Exactly 100%. This fire is FAR from over. Weather is going to get hotter and drier in a few days. No one should be thinking or saying it’s a done deal. Because it isn’t

We get it the fire isn’t out yet. Heres a quote from Dennis Burns “well, we hope it holds”. If you know when he said that you know what happened the next day.

Anyone have a new tile set of cams further north?

Includes some of the northern cams such as Inks Ridge and Shingletown. Will make a new one if need be to include points north.

Might make a seperate one for cameras on the East side depending on progression

Exactly. They lifted the evav orders in Greenville, less than 24 hours later, re-issued them, and the town burned. Wise counsel not to underestimate this fire and the dry fuels it has to consume in many areas with some or no recent burn history

Already a spot over 32.

Watch Duty: Radio traffic indicates there is a well established 1/2 to 1 acre spot fire across Hwy 32 in the area near Humboldt Rd (Lomo area). Ground resources are requesting aircraft to that area.
