Confirmed with on location members. From HWY 50 south… Mando EVAC Order HWY 50 up to Ice House then south to Mormon emigrant Trail.
Also Spots being worked out in front by dozers near Fleming (the head) are being checked up. Per AA, they are about 2 KM from HWY50.

AA reporting it’s pushing to the north and the east. Estimating it hitting 50 by sundown
Unsure where on the fire the conversation was referencing but watching leek springs camera last 15 minutes and hearing AA talk to helo, they are saying “it’s away too hot” to get in there. Drops will have to be selective. Objective is structure protection drops on west side. Impressive heat.
To add to that, just watched a very long range spot take hold on that cam.

Summery of AA.
Forward progression North has slowed just a bit. Backing off earlier prediction of the fire will be at HWY 50 by dark… but did not follow up with when he believed it would reach HWY50. North west shoulder of fire is moving towards the east side of Jenkins lake. Spots are still just south of the lake and are active. Bulk of head fire is moving out northeast corner into more forested and non pop areas. Will need double the retardant to keep the flanks.
AA also confirmed they rotors are working really good on closing the back door so as to protect OMA Ranch. Not a done deal but good progress on holding the heel in its boundaries and preventing another run to wards OMA.
