Residents in Gold Ridge Forest (off Sly Park Rd) have received CodeRed Warning

Law Enforcement is reporting fire in area of Flemming Meadow “one ridge over” from Mormon Emigrant Trail which would be just south of Jenkinson Lake.

I’d take that with a grain of salt as they’ve (LE) been a bit off most of the night. We’d be hearing a lot of evac traffic and panic calls from Happy Valley if that were the case, unless there was a long range spot.

Frequent area for the Lovers of Smith and Wesson, Glock, and all the above.
NOTE: EDSO has issued new evacuation orders for Sly Park area and a Warning for Pollock Pines area.
? Why EDSO is not posting on their twitter of facebook at all. INCIWEB is even out of date. Its moving to fast for them to push out the information.

Another new spot across the line in Div Z. Approx. 10 acres with moderate to rapid rate of spread

Fire observed today with two heads, no inversion and active burning. Noticed though that the winds are more out of southwest and CalTopo doesn’t share the same direction. May be wise to reference two sources of wind data before posting. Local who lives in Placerville tells me that Iron Mountain Rd or Mormon Emigrant Trail has been cleared 1000 ft on both sides. Would be a great place for a box IF the team was capable. Screen Shot 2021-08-17 at 11.13.12 AM.png - Google Drive

FIRIS is highly valuable near immediately available intel. Thank you, AJ. Hope you are well. You sure as hell are busy. Best.

Paraphrasing DIV Z, slop-over in southern portion of section 33 with potential to go to several hundreds or thousands of acres. Needs engines, crews, dozers and aircraft. Ops said none available. Other units are also checking for spots across Sopiago Creek close to the origin. If found, that would be the trigger point for evacuation of Omo Ranch proper. Update: Fire still just north of the creek.

Just heard from family that basically live at Sly Park Rd. and Hwy 50. Emergency Evac order in place and “tons of ash” coming down.
