2 dozer strike teams ordered
normal response for LAC is 2 - dozers per alarm, also I’m sure VNC and ANF are sending heavy junk to this fire
So it looks like it will parallel I5 down towards Pyramid Lake. Not many structures except along frontage roads. But to the western side some rugged terrain.
Which burned in 2007 if I remember right, so 17 year old brush.
Tankers assigned
T-16, 72, 73, 78, 100, 137, 163, 180, 910
AA made an order for 2 addition type 1 tankers, there was some back and forth with LAC and not sure if the order was placed. AA is trying to clear up what aircraft he has assigned.
Having a hard time with all the traffic on the command channel.
A plethora of helicopters assigned from multiple agencies.
The last fire there was Day fire 2006. And the day fire burned further west. It did not burn in this footprint. There’s been a few small ones in there but the day fire was further to the South and West
Current Helicopters.
Quite the mix.

Did this start as a vehicle or structure fire?
I don’t know, initial report was 4-5 vehicles with 1/2 acre of brush.
