Camp 9 can has a good view. Looks like it’s just north of The Old Road neighborhood and winds are blowing away from it.

60 acres. 2nd alarm going out.
Interesting fire behavior: The fire seemed to slowly burn up the hill. But once it hit the ridge took off. Light wispy smoke was seen on the Camp 9 camera while it was mid-slope, but once it hit the ridge the fire formed a well developed column, with more energy.

Fires sheltered from the wind, once it got to the top it prolly aligned with a canyon and wind and took it.

Fire in this area are usually 1 and done. It’s mostly grass and burns nearly every 2 or 3 years.

The fire has spotted into the median between the NB and SB lanes. 136 acres with the 10 acre spot.
The fire is making a hard run towards the SB lanes. Perimeter about to get much larger.
