AA reporting approx. 175 acres, don’t think Intel 12 is done yet though.

Anyone know why INTEL12 is doing these circles outside of the fire area?

As I recall the Glass fire was during a Red Flag Warning and Wind Advisory. It spotted across the Napa Valley and into the hills East of Santa Rosa. Given the current and predicted weather, what is the likely hood of this fire doing something similar. Asking for myself.

That looks like 101 and Todd. Not that it matters, I’m still concerned.

Buy time and not be over the immediate area.

1200 acres per Intel 12

Stay away from drops or by request of AA.

Very low likelihood given current forecast pattern.

But for trivia, where the Glass Fire jumped the valley is almost where this fire is burning.

You can hardly tell the 2017 or 2020 fires happened with the manzanita there now.

Your firefighters are also not already worn down from a non-stop season. The Glass Fire followed the August Lightning Siege. At the time, I got Nixle Alerts from Napa county, and when the alerts started coming in sometime around 04:30 I remember waking up, reading the alert and telling my wife, “Here we go again.”

The reason I asked the question is that in watching the playback, I see the fire run to the top of the ridge, and winds seem to be pushing it some at that point, but then clear of the ridge, the winds seem to push the smoke in the opposite direction. And on top of all that I can see some clouds at much higher levels, moving in a direction opposite the smoke.
