It was over air on the Broadcastify link. There were told to report to DIV M. Along with wet engines under CALFire control. Strange to me too.
For what itās worth the actual traffic was:
āAdditional response to the Pickett incident. All CalFire engine and wet-hire engines under CalFire control, immediate need response to the Pickett incident. Report to Division Mike at the intersection of Aetna Springs and Polk Valley Road. Command LNU Command 15, Tactical CDF Tac 17. Advise when en route. 1723.ā
After the Tubbs Fire, Sonoma County REDCOM developed a āall hands on deckā tone out. All pagers for departments using REEDCOM as primary went off, followed by where to report to. Maybe Napa has similar?
Thatās sadā¦
Today was an active day on the #PickettFire. As with the previous several days, the fire was somewhat subdued in the morning hours under heavy smoke, but woke up and made major runs in the late afternoon and evening. We have 10:30pm maps and analysis on The Lookout. Active Evening on the Pickett Fire - 8/23/2025 - The Lookout
False. REDCOM made no request for an āall callā in the county. Sonoma County has three type 3 strike teams with various overhead personnel for this fire. āAll callā is designed for in county major incident.
Hard not to notice a much more subdued looking heat signature & activity on goes & the cameras this a.m. Fingers crossed this trend continues into the heat of the day and beyond!!
When is the team to take the fire?
CF Team 4 took the fire this morning, according to Cal Fire LNU Facebook post
My apologies everyone, I misspoke.
Despite a slight fear of jinxing thingsā¦
Is it possible weāre looking at one of those rare instances where a Team gets ordered & Fire goes out and/or lays down significantly?! Seems like the hard work from air & ground plus the Wx has really pulled the air-brakes at least for now?
#fingersstillcrossed!
The fire fight maybe over but the work is still there. Returning hose to the cache, paying the bills Suppression repairs.
Yes it is.
Now releasing many STEās.
So possibly caused by an illegal debris burn?
That has been the word for a day or two. CF not confirming anything officially.
Spot fire outside the line in Branch 25. 5-10 acres MROS in grassy oak woodland.
Helco requesting AA, 2 Tankers, and all copters off 7M Helibase to that area.
Spot fire was picked up in an hour or so at about 15 acres.
This and the two fires in Lake County a few days ago are pretty telling of the potential this Fire Weather Watch will bring to the area.
Bear in mind all three of these happened under normal weather conditions without anything special to influence them and all of them burned very quick and very hot.
Miles of fire hoseā¦.
