Sorry, I thought this was the questions and discussions section. Not sure where you got that I was suggesting risking lives… just doing the job of putting out a fire… its called risk mitigation. How do you take a statement other than what is said… I suppose we are to look for the nuance in the statement of allowing the fire that was only 4 hours old to burn?? Just simply replying to what was stated…

The 3 Night Copters sure took a lot of wind out of this fire. Along with Crew and Dozer support a lot got done. New day, not as hot. Let’s hope.

I was there at sunup this morning. While a lot remains to be done, any acreage increase was due to firing. The value of those night flying helitankers cannot be overstated. Their value is now being seen.
