CA-MEU-Mina??

MEU Covelo has something big that blew up. It is HOT on GOES17 IR along with visible heavy column before IA aircraft could even get there.

Mina Road, NW of Covelo. Getting snippets of Dangerous rate of spread on the mendocino broadcastify. Covelo locals sound like they are losing structures…

Ukiah, Rohnerville and Redding just emptied out their fixed wing, and C205 from TGU.

Local government request for 5 type 3s and 2 tenders. How are there no alert wildfire cameras in Mendocino.

Just looked at that location on Google Maps. Does EVERYONE in Covelo grow marijuana?

They did in 2008 when I was there during the Lightning complex

For cameras, St John1 just swing over to catch the top smoke when it pops over. Nothing else remotely close in the area.

I know that area pretty good, wind usually comes out of the northwest around 330 pm and stops blowing around midnight. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a wind driven fire. It’s pretty dry up in that country too.
