CA-MMU-Power??

IC came up and stated again potentially going extended. Evacuations and numerous structures destroyed and threatened.

Is this moving toward or away from Prather?

Away currently.

Thank you.

Too bad most of the Type 1’s go home at 1800. Good thing T-160 was extended…

Is that additional to what was ordered earlier

Mod Note: This question was in regards to the IC inquiring about 10 additional type 3’s and there was some need for clarification.

Charlie’s or 10 engines?

Just a little fire history, the 89 powerhouse fire burned through that area, auberry, and into meadow lakes on to our property.

That’s known. Was the order for 10 Charlie’s or 10 Type 3’s

for 10 type 3 engines. He was clarifying the status of the 10 he ordered during the initial response. They are coming into the unit as 2 Charlie strike teams, 1 Charlie from TCU and 1 from BEU.

So for the people that live in this canyon, what is this fire going to do tonight? Standard down canyon winds?

It will just be normal down canyon winds but the terrain forms a half bowl to the west on 222 and a north south ridge on the south side of horseshoe bend. The wind usually comes over the top at corrine lake where the head of the fire is and comes out of the south at the heel. They had problems with this immediately when the corrine fire started.

The willow and north fork fire had the same issues every night on their south flank. I watched the willow fire for six nights each day mud was laided down till dark and once the wind shifted during the night it would burn through or spot across the retardant.

Pumpkin time tonight at FAT for the aircraft?

The helitanker, AA, and Tanker 160.

Was looking for the time. Sounds like all A/C off fire and headed for their respective bases.

Were they using the turbo commander from porterville as a lead plane?

Missed call sign, but did hear someone give an ETA back to Porterville.

Wow seems like there should have been engines closer than BEU

Affirmative.

AA 2AL is one of the trainee Air Attacks.

2AL was launched as the AA for the Lark, was reassigned to the Power and AA15 returned to base.
2AL is the training platform out of Porterville, so any going fire they are normally launched to.
