Someone on FB says their family lives in Doyle and said homes are on fire in Doyle. Anyone heard anything ?
Confirmed that it’s across 395
Structures burning:
Fire has impacted Doyle.
Time for the type 1’s yet?
Too late for T1 Strike team, they won’t get there until Tomorrow. Use whats closest, “The best ability is availability.”
Plenty of local gov in Lassen and Plumas that are not being utilized.
Refresh my memory but I don’t recall much local government in lassen or plumas? A couple engines between both? There were multiple CF Charlie’s that started that was today from NOps once it cleared 395.
There has to be more homes in front of this beast
Not a lot be both have enough to form at least one strike team. Point is, during the hog and sheep fires last year both counties answered the immediate need call days into the incidents for structure protection. No intention of degrading the IMT for this incident just saying that option wasn’t used.
Now back to our regularly scheduled program….
Additional video from the Doyle area.

Looks like there was at least a minor fire whirl up there today(folks in the video calling it a tornado): https://www.instagram.com/p/CRK9dzGh2Sk/
There was a fairly significant fire tornado today off of the Constantia RD.
No surprise but already has a header visible from reno.
Seen from the WP1503 at Western Pacific RR Museum in Portola this afternoon.
Air Attack was going to work Div V around 1430 and try and point down to 395. Now at 1600 AA lost some tankers to new start on SHF. VLAT diverted about 1730 as well. NIFC Cmd5 on Dixie Mtn Lookout could be heard off and on from Sierraville to Chester.
