IC reporting fire is making a lateral run across the slopes of Sugar Loaf Peak, no up hill runs, there is a structure threatened off Hwy 70.

T104 + T163 assigned off the Salt, dropped & headed to Chico now. Info has slowed down as the regular traffic on the Lassen Co feed has picked up due to 4+ lightning starts around Eagle Lake.

The fire is really picking up currently, there is a 40 acre spot in the little last chance creek drainage. AA has placed all Tankers on a hold due to deteriorating weather conditions. AA also advising the engines out in front to pull out. The view from Chilcoot Cam shows a rapidly building black column that is leaning over. If the playback is used it shows some visible flame front and some intermittent crown runs.

AA talking to Lead about spotting, was well over a mile, “tried to get the helicopter on it, and was like pissing in the wind” (not sure if he is talking about a new spot or the original spot, radio is real scratchy out there)
