Standard issue Inland Empire… we’ve got three network affiliates in the low desert, bt anything between Cabazon and Corona won’t get coverage unless its a slow news day in Burbank

In the span of a few hours there has been 3 fires with a combined total of 1000 plus acres, It could be a sign of what’s to come this season.

Mt David cam finally turned away from the dying Highland fire dud towards the roaring monster fireline off the Rabbit incident. Long line of fire very visible now.

This thing has some room to run, looks like there is a lot of fuel out in front of this thing.

I’ll say. This thing has the whole of Lamb Canyon to consume before it could --potentially-- jump the 79. Might be our first extended attack of the season. But this is all speculation currently. One thing that is for sure is this one’s gonna crash through that 1K acreage ceiling the whole state has struggled to pass this season.

The area near the origin is mostly light flashy fuel with pockets of brush. Where the fire is now approaching HWY 79 the fuel is more moderately thick brush. Part of the reason it grew so fast was all the tall annual grass.
