If anyone could post a rough perimeter map or any working IAP they’ve got going on here that’d be great. Appreciate ya :call_me_hand:t2:.

This time lapse @ALERTCalifornia put up on Instagram reminds me of the one from the fire overtaking the camera on the French fire a few years ago.

{UPDATED}
Here is where the fire was at 3:58 pm, according to FIRIS.

7,600 acres per FIRIS - from the map, it looks like the firing operations on the southeastern end went well. Hope they can catch the slop-over in the northeastern corner!

Honestly surprised Team 2 didn’t get pinged with the new starts and this incident.

In this fuel type, with a limited space to run in, active burning probably won’t last the three days it would take to stand up and close out a team. Far more appropriate for a local team to handle. (presumably)

CalFire doesn’t have T2 teams and RRU’s T3 is quite capable

The only Team going a Cal Fire incident is a Cal Fire Team. So if RRU’s T3 team needs help it will be a Cal Fire T1 team.

Anyone have any updates on the fire after today?? Seems like she picked up some steam again this afternoon…thanks

What we’ve got here is failure to communicate.

Cal Fire Team 2 (T2) is currently up on rotation/call. The RRU type 3 team (T3) is currently handling the fires.

All Cal Fire Teams (teams 1 through 6) are type 1. Some Units have type 3 teams, such as RRU.

Correct. I think some folks got confused when I said team 2.

Also 1-6. CF has 6 T1 Teams.
