Now its #5 largest in Ca history at 275,000 acres. No end in sight. Be safe out there brothers and sisters. Another 36 hours of potential thunderstorms and lightening are less than 24 hours away.
Carp! Looks like it took out most of the Grant Ranch north of Mt. Hamilton Rd. My uncle and a few other doctors leased the hunting rights to that ranch. Old hunting club that ran from before WWII to 1974. I spent much of my summers all over there when I was a kid. First learned to drive on those roads in an old WWII Willeys jeep.
Interesting that ALCO put out this color coded map w/o a legend. Is RED the warning area? Or is YELLOW the warning area?

The 8 tankers are MAFS that went for two round robins along with the 2 VLATS

I was at the Grant Park and ranch last night. Fire was on the north side of 130, the park and home are all intact mostly burnt the grass and not much else.
following along with Flightradar24 website make it a lot easier to keep track of what’s dropping where.
Yesterday I found the two CL215s (radar tags of SCPR261 & SCPR262) working in Marin. They were there again today.
Air Operation has discontinued due to low and heavy smoke out conditions. All Tankers released.
