That is going to tie up a lot of resources for awhile. It’s 95 in Tracy right now.
I feel this would be considered a long -range spot and a very long day.
One hour time lapse is wild.
Spot is starting to get some legs of its own. Starting to look like a true conflagration. Good luck to the Boys up there, gonna be a long day …night.
Medline IC with Fed Ex Division across the street, plus the spot taking off down the street.
Looked it up fire in Tracy. Medline Inc. The largest privately held manufacture and distributer of medical supplies uniquely positioned to provide products, education, and support across the continuum of care.
That’s not going to be good for all of the EMS supplies!
This is nuts! Hope all stay safe and keep outta that nasty crap!
Train like you fight so you’ll fight like you train - how do you train for a mess like this?! ![]()
Edit: Cant stop thinking about how horizontal continuity & vertical arrangement also 100% applicable in the structure/municipal branch of firefighting & the fire environment!
My first question is, is this a repeat of the Ontario warehouse fire?
Medline warehouse- 1,005,000 sq/ft under one roof
or
23 acres under said roof!
23 acres…Crazy
Yes with a different material burning
The shots of the lone aerial with that very inadequate (1000-4000 GPM) looking stream of water is bananas!!
I was thinking arson?
Hopefully everyone got out, middle of the day I’m sure it was bustling in that warehouse. I can’t imagine the financial loss with all that product. That building sure went up lickety split.
I see lots of firefighters walking through the smoke without PBE. I wonder what nasty chemical by-products are produced by burned medical supplies. Hmm…
