If ecological restraints and desire to keep it natural are a large concern, then let the natural course of the fire flow as it may and then attack it on the other side so the only concern at that point is fire fighter safety while trying to corral this fire. I would think life and property safety would be the major concern.
I have seen "protected areas deny dozer work to continue, and the only part that survived was the dozer protected area before the stop order came.

And that’s why we would let those who are responsible for managing the land and the LMPs make the decisions. Everything has tradeoffs. I learned a while ago to present alternatives and the plusses and Deltas of each and the percent estimated success, then let them cogitate and tell us what they want. That’s why they make the big bucks. :face_with_bags_under_eyes:
