I am not positive, but if you screenshot and give credit to the source. It is ok to share when not for profit. Maybe one of the more experienced MODS might know for sure.
From what I can find screenshoting is ok, it can be deleted if not.
Took a drive to Huntington yesterday and there’s a lot of removal going on saw a family at the first cabin doing some work.
It’s been 3 years since that little column smoke popped up in the big creek canyon, what many thought would be knocked down late evening but in the late night stood up and reminded us of how small we really are. We witnessed some extreme fire behavior.
We look to the past to see what our future may hold for fires but for this one it was literally worst case scenario that was planned for " pucker factor to the umteenth" (RIP John @SmokeyBehr). The creek was also the first recorded fire most of where it burn.
Today we see a scar full of new growth that shows the resilience of the oak with what were ghosts that have come back from the dead, poetically alder springs became a land of flowering plants after this past winter, some residents have returned, and people are continuing to enjoy Cressmans and Jones store.

As the Creek Fire raged through the familiar terrain that had been my home since 1962, panic and uncertainty gripped the hearts of many residents. But amidst the chaos, the evacuation operation orchestrated by dedicated officials showcased their unwavering commitment and professionalism.
The Creek Fire was a relentless force of nature, threatening everything in its path. It was during these trying times that the true heroes emerged, and they weren’t the ones with capes, but the first responders, the attack planes, firefighters, and emergency personnel who risked their lives to ensure the safety of the community.
To all the officials, firefighters, and emergency personnel involved in the Creek Fire evacuation and firefighting efforts, it is with heartfelt thanks my testament to the profound impact you’ve had on the lives of those you’ve protected. You are the unsung heroes who stepped up when it mattered most, and for that, you will forever be remembered and celebrated in the hearts of those you’ve served. Thank you, be safe out there.
Hopefully this September 4-5 i can get down to the snag that took the hit and get a few pieces.
