2 copters assigned for bucket work in Div.M, there’s some fire activity challenging the line and AA is discussing if the dozer group can catch it or the feasibly of Tankers and retardant use.

There a column on QueenBee cam:

2 Lookouts reported an island burning out near the lines near Cape Horn and Louper (SP) Peak. I have not located that to find the Division or area on the fire.

Cape horn and louper are near courtright and wishon reservoirs and im not seeing any heat on the bullfrog fire, the smoke column is near vermillion cliffs on the east side of edison lake.

AA15 flew the Div. A-B behind Cascadel Woods to direct crews into a slop over or a fire near the line. AA said it was no factor for concern. Calfire Crews are going in to deal with it.

Fire Watch 51 flew an IR this morning (was coming off an IR on the Mendocino Complex).
AA15 off Fresno enroute to recon the perimeter now.
Landed a couple hours later with no concerns that I heard on AG command.

FireWatch 507 went out (as AA or helco) an hour ago and is requesting copters for bucket work around Vermillion cliffs. Visibility is expected to be limited and may get shut down in a few hours.

AA15 came up for relief of 507 and stated that smoke on east side was deteriorating. AA landed Fresno about 20min. ago. Wait again for 507 to return around 14:00 recon.

Repeaters all came down Friday. CIIMT 10 did a great job transitioning the fire back to the forest.
