CA-SNF-Ferguson (Was MMU/SNF-Ferguson) (Contained)

Though it is visible to the naked eye in that map, you don’t have the 2011 Motor fire on that burn scar list, which it appears the spots are burning in “fiercely” per AA.

That’s on the South side of the river… I was just posting in relation to the spots on the N side

That some pretty rough country that spot fires in. That’s a lot of Air Force he has ordered.

Last night the Ferguson released some of the immediate need resources that were dispatched from MMU cover assignments.
MMU just dispatched the Golf strike team back to the fire immediate need to Division Echo, which is the El Portal area.

Fire has crossed Miller Gulch and retardant line and outflanked resources that were going direct. Pulling out resources back down to the river to start doing indirect.

Ferguson Fire column or cumulus build up over the Sierra Crest?

It’s all column. Here is another photo from my house 25 miles north of the fireAA13409A-CDB2-4209-AAAB-027FA2CC99D2

I think the white part is monsoonal generated with the fire smoke being in front of it (the grey band). Could you clarify where on Highway 120 the other photo was taken?

The photo was taken 25 minutes ago. You can’t tell from the photo, but there are two very defined bases under the primary areas of convection. It certainly could be mostly thunderstorm, but the colors here make it look more similar to pyronimbus🤷‍♂️ It looks exactly like the Rim Fire did when it made it’s big run
