It’s almost all on forest land, if you look at the SRA map you will see there is only a sliver down by where it started.
Forest service is calling it a 1,000 acres tonight. Not sure what the mapping mission numbers came up with.
Sounds like there are more evacuations taking place and that the fire behavior has picked up.
Per Mariposa s.o. jerseydale is under mandatory evacuation.
There is a slop over on Ferguson ridge, sloped over a couple hundred feet.

The Ferguson Fire burning in Mariposa County is 4,000 acres and containment has decreased to 2%. There are multiple spots well over Ferguson Ridge. At least 1 OES Type 1 ST was deployed overnight to set up Structure Defense. Base Camp will be at Mariposa Fair Grounds.
The weather forecast for Today is another hot day in the mid to high 90s with a winds picking up this afternoon- wind speeds between 10-15 mph. Max temperature…98-102. Min humidity…21-25 percent.
Due to the slop over on Ferguson Ridge due to the slop over and may try to stop the fire on Sweetwater ridge.
AA is getting the Air Show going, AA Requesting 2 VLATs and 4 LATs and 4 S-2’s.

AA is putting tankers back on hold, unable to get them in through the smoke, same as yesterday morning.
Surrounding CalFire units are still sending resources Immediate Need, Code 3, to the incident. Some of which are forming up at the incident itself.
