New link to iap and map?
Thanks
With such a big op thatās in an already evacuated and very high risk area with shifting weather patterns (including pyroCB cloud activity), more info for South Fork and overall would be extremely helpful.
At some point, the (ongoing) inaccurate and conflicting messages in the SQF Complex Fireās evacuation mandatory orders and warnings will need to be reviewed.
Curious how the Red Flag Warning / Wind Event will affect things at this point.
I thought this incident was out 2 years ago
Anyone have a current IAP link?
Can someone please tell me why they donāt just let the rattlesnake fire burn into the castle instead of commiting helicopters to suppress two active peices of fire burning at low intensity towards each other that present no threat to anything.
As far as values at risk, thereās a private inholding with some developments on the east side of the Kern River at Golden Trout Creek, a historic ranger station complex on the west/park side, and a suspension bridge over the Kern.
Earlier attempts to check the southward growth of the Rattlesnake didnāt take, I believe as a result of evening downcanyon winds and low RHs while it was unstaffed.
Thanks for pointing that out. Both fires have merged per inciweb.
Good to know. Without any precipitation I suppose it was just a matter of time.
