They had 9 pack strings up on the Red Salmon. Very cool for sure. Provided a little therapeutic relief for many
Any updates on this one? Heard some immediate need stuff going on.
What ever is going on can’t be good. Smoke column visible from Tehachapi. East winds.
I was looking at the IAP and there is only 3 dozers assigned to the whole fire. This fire eventually will make it to Balck Park and Mt Home.
I’m not sure if it will get that close and if they open up the old contingency lines from the cabin and pier they might hold it,I know cal fire did a bunch of vmp burns up around Balch the past couple years.
Yeah, no good news. Guessing it crossed up out of Clicks and to the bench where 21S50 runs to Jordan. Lots of dense bug kill and white fir in there.
Yeah lots of big kill up there along with the understory being packed tight with ground fuels.
Sherman peak has a pretty good view
Using Mule Peak cam pic, Jordan Peak is on the right, the fire has already moved west past Jordan if I have my bearings right.
What app is that?
How far from SRA?
Not the same app, but seems more accurate?
His looks to be showing all 40+ mph?
Checking weather stations, they look to coincided with ventusky better.
Maybe he just has his set to upper level winds! They are all the same speed,
Close to ground level reading should vary more.
Looks like he is using windy.com?
Using the map application the team posted yesterday, 4.3 miles based on an unknown time stamp for the map: https://nifc.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=9e80e202cae24dfebfa206541c49ed07
It’s called windy ,it’s a good app
I sure wish they had lots or resources, but they don’t. Looking for good news, pics of Golden Trout Pack Station from the 8th. Hope it is still there. https://www.facebook.com/SequoiaNF/photos/pcb.1389670161234881/1389670094568221/?cft[0]=AZUI5fCJw-Q4R8A9y25Q9v546y3K-PABLBe_rmPJrpyIU8cSDgq6d5TFvvaVua7KLMduQnhPyfgcVs_f3MCsIeKqYIq51OpFelfDZ4qufby86t_sda1hVFG50X9aseKHWJm5JaSd_L-KibRQTnqvZqrE&tn=*bH-R
