Impressive, is that this evening. Red Mtn. camera has been fogged in all day
YesterdayâŚ
That makes sense
Lots quieter todayâŚ
DONT USE THE Q WORD!! EVER!!
Yesterday around 7-8 pm
Why would anyone post a pic from yesterday? The only thing anyone cares about is what the fire is doing today⌠respectfully
There is no reason to be rude or disrespectful here. If somebody posts something that you feel is irrelevant to you, move on. It takes more time and effort to post a rude or disrespectful post than it does to just say to yourself: Oh, thatâs nice but is meaningless to me. Then move on
BTWâŚA lenticular cloud over a pyro cloud is not only rare but is a very dangerous indication of very unstable air
I get it brother, but the reality is a lot of people are getting annoyed with all the fluff on here. I like to engage with this site to know what the fire is doing up to the minute. Majority of people donât care what a fire did multiple days ago. We want to know what itâs currently doing. What it did yesterday doesnât do anything for anyone. This site used to be about fire progression for active fires. That keeps people informed on potential and possible deployments or reassignments, Evacs, etc . Didnât mean to disrespect anyone.
We did a livestream on the events of the past couple days - here:

Wow! Pretty impressive column!
XSN Type 3 Strike Team assigned this morning, GFD, SCY, MRO, SON, HEA.
it absolutely is full suppression.
What the fire did in previous burn periods is absolutely helpful to what can possibly happen in the future.
While not everything is post worthy or important to the current shift understanding and tracking the pattern of the fire progression based on whatâs already happened helps us plan and interpret the possibilities during operational engagement.
So as a blanket statement not caring what happened yesterday does not make sense. I donât want to contribute to the slow progression of this site becoming more like social media however, I believe the managers here are doing a decent enough job curtailing that behavior when it becomes to far irrelevant.
I say that to say think about the deeper context and possible relevance before writing it off as useless information. No offense intended just a different perspective offered.
I see where you are coming from and appreciated, be safe

Due to values at risk CIMT10 is moving towards a 24-hour sustainable support and service operation.
This offers the Operations section the ability to staff the field when it is the right time at the right
location to address the threat. Orders are returning UTF, and new orders may include name requests
through local government with the proper paperwork accompanying the request.
Ops Map:
The west side of the fire is looking really good on the IR, with not much new spread that way. It looks like they lit the top of a ridge on SW corner to let it back down to a prepped road.
Weather for next week looks really good for beneficial backing fire, really close to a prescribed fire prescription.
I did a short livestream update this morning on this fire:

This weather site is great, BTW.
