Cam on 395 shows very limited traffic???
Correct⦠and the quickmap.dot.ca.gov shows a lot of āredā as in slow goinā. Iām sure, given the importance of 395, theyād rather not close it.
Iām looking for the live feed of the Nevada road cameras.
Edit:

You have to put in 395 in āfilterā, then āapplyā.
On the last one, click on the camera in the upper right corner for a live feed. And not many vehicles moving. Also look at the ClearAcre one.

as with all road cams, you have to refresh to get new look
Yeah, I posted that earlier. But itās a still picture.
try to refresh it. always just a still. do not know of any live feeds. good luck. let me know if you find one
Local paper finally has an update:
Well, the fire has most definitely crossed 395 & 395 is either closed or being held. Note the CHP vehicle blocking the on-ramp on the right side of the photo. Whether or not it is officially closed is not all that relevant. Traffic is not being allowed past the state line

Eagle Fireā¦LCES
if no structure threat, why mandatory evacs???
not shooting the messenger but just the message. take care
Evacuations in Chilcoot were due to the tornado that was hovering over it. There are multiple homes/structures in Long Valley that are under evacuation.
Sometimes the story changes in between the time the story is written and when it finally gets to the presses.
Itās the Reno paper⦠what can I say
agree. things are definitely fluid. probably too flifet remark. have to look more closely to how statements come across. just an observation. moving on. stay safe
395 closed from nevada state line to red rock road.
Just looking at the webcams, it looks like humidities are climbing. That would be good for slowing the intensity.
According to chp cad, a fire engine and civilian are try to catch a horse on 395 near 70.
Also, I am north of the fire and it looks like thunderstorms are building somewhat. Things could get interesting for the Plumas/LMU/NOD area tonight into tomorrow. Very limited resources out here.
several strikes north each of Bordertown . These may be from the pyrocumulus cloud or there is an active cell close by
northeast not north each
I think the pyrocumulus collapsed. From my vantage point, I experience 35-45mph winds for 30 minutes. I canāt tell if itās still building or not- correct me if anyone else has a better view.
