Bald Mtn. camera went down about 19:28. It’s showing on Bunker Hill, but not well.

Life safety alert just went out for nearby Hill incident for thunderstorms with downstrikes and 20+MPH outflow winds, which may have impacts on this fire due to proximity.

The down canyons usually don’t start until late night, early morning, 2300-0300. But I will guess with the hot temps today, they will howl tonight…and unfortunately, it looks that has started. Good luck to all!

Crossed the Rubicon, or the Middle Fork of the American? Rubicon ends at Oxbow Resv and combines with the the Middle Fork of the American. The Middle fork of the American comes into ABAY at Ralston day use area.It originates at the outlet of French Meadows resv

I’m guessing it crossed the Rubicon or even ABAY, it’s not a very wide reservoir. More like a river in spots. If it travels up the Middle Fork it will be close to the origin of the 2006 Ralston fire. They were able to hold that one from jumping the North fork of the middle fork and heading up towards Michigan Bluff and FH. It did however burn all the way to Middle Fork road and burned many poles on the 60kv and 230 KV lines. This is not good

I am not clear either. I thought maybe it was the Rubicon too but then they said Michigan Bluff so that sounds like the “North Fork Middle Fork”, oh the rivers are so confusing there.
