CA-TNF-Mosquito??

I’m confused.

On today’s Mosquito IAP I see Mill Staging with over 9 pages of suppression resources, suppression repair resources and overhead (over 160 individual resources) identified.

Are these tentative releases?

There are still 9 Divisions and 4 Suppression Repair Groups on the IAP also.

Thanks

'8ME on a recon flight, Div. K requesting IR mission to determine location of fire’s edge in the Last Chance / NF. MF. American area.

Update: Not much significant change in perimeter, fire activity very moderated, mostly ground smoke with no observed torching. Spot fire shows no significant heat. '8ME will return to the fire for missions in other areas after brief RTB for camera equipment issue.

The Georgetown MRB is now closed. They plan to keep the Blue Canyon MRB open.

Makes sense - Blue Canyon is conveniently located to the NE end of the fire where they’re still likely to be dealing with hold-over smokes popping up and trying to run once the weather turns for the warmer again. There’s still a lot of down material and standing snags in the American fire scar to play whack-a-mole in for a while to come I suspect.

Copter '1VR has been working the area JNO Last Chance near the confluence of the NFMF American and Secret for quite a while this afternoon, and NOAA57 just overflew that area.

they have had some bad winds in that area a day or so…good to see they are finally able to get in there.

Now HTs '1KA, '7KA, and '3RF loading out of Blue Canyon and dropping on that piece of ground, with HELCO and AA overhead it appears. That’s some stubborn ground.

View from Bunker Hill seems to show spots east of the fire perimeter, anyone heard if this is a spot, VMP, or new start?

https://www.alertwildfire.org/region/tahoe/?camera=Axis-Bunker

Edit: Can’t get a cross because this camera is on the old network, and can’t find two on the new network that have a view of it.

Edit: Possibly smoke from down canyon stringing along and popping up, can’t quite tell, but looks like concentrated sources.

Is there an up dated IAP for the Mosquito Fire? I know things must be winding down, but would like to see what resources are left on the fire…

Start here Index of /public/incident_specific_data

You can find other incidents there when they utilize it, too.

At the risk of sounding parochial, if the plumb looks at you sideways, wreck it.
