California Equipment to OR?

There is a new system they’re rolling out to ‘fix’ VIPR, but it isn’t working, I hear, and so people are stuck with rolling over their previous 3 year(?) agreements. It sounds like this is hosing people who’ve bought new equipment on the assumption they’d be able to sign it up in the new contract window, and now are not able to add new pieces of equipment, and can only substitute new VINS for agreements they had in place in the previous cycle? (e.g. if you had 2 WTs on contract for 2022-2025 but bought a third, you can only sub it in for one of your existing ones, not add it as a new item).

I believe this applies to both water handling (engines and tenders) and heavy equipment like dozers. Feel free to correct me if I’m getting this wrong.

Id imagine with the devastation they saw in spokane, things timing out and an uneventful season a lot more california resources will head north

I’m not surprised, when I was LSC1 on Fed Team 5 in the 90s and early 2000s most all of my Unit Leaders were KRN. I’ll bet every CA Fed team has KRN on them and 7 of the 8 CA Fed Teams are in OR/WA (R6)

There are two OES type 1 STs from the San Diego op area in Oregon. I know one of them is now demobed and heading to Spokane

Crew 12 has been dispatched. Is it part of a crew ST?

That is a crew ST. Two busses. In the LG world is a crew. But they will be rostered that way now. Going to WA.

Type 2 initial Attack, just a step below Hot Shots on the Fed side. It’s all based on supervision quals on the crew. Example if an IHC looses a Cpt. on the crew they would be statused as a Type 2 IA

I am very aware of the definitions. But pretty sure Contra Costa only has one crew. Are they joining with someone else for a ST?

That I’m not sure. I know they sent two buses. VS just the one the use in county. So assuming with the two buses. They are going as a Golf or Hotel.

2 buses is not uncommon for a single crew.
