were only funded for 3 years in the first place starting with the 2022-2023 budget year. Was never planned to go beyond that.

That wind reading from squaw peak is highly suspect because Belmont raws to the north never saw above 65mph. The wind reading from a bunch of these sites is questionable.

I’m not really familiar with these locations. This one at Tahoe Valley appears to be relatively straight forward. The wind shifted direction and speed this morning after reaching peak speeds at around midnight.
These sensors read about the same proportions and times, but fall off at different times this morning. Difficult for me to say why. My first guess would be that they simply broke, but a couple of them seem to start reading again soon after. There’s going to be tonight and tomorrow to check data against, I suppose. Without eyes on the instruments, or knowing the story behind the gaps, I agree that these readings should be considered unconfirmed until NWS explicitly verifies them, if they haven’t already.
