Image upload issues.

For the last few days there has been an issue uploading pictures and the site is giving an error message, I’ve cleared my browser data and history but the issue persists.

I’ve had the same issue for several weeks. Intermittenly.

MOD NOTE
This issue is known about and the Mods have passed it on to the site Admins. We are patiently waiting for resolution with this issue. I realize it is frustrating but there is nothing more we can do from the Mod’s standpoint. Please Carry on.

If you have a place you can post photos to another site, I’ve had some luck posting the URLs for photos at external sites into my posts here, and the photo comes in, sometimes…

Thanks for sharing the work around.

Any progress on this issue? Not having the ability to share images is a major hamstringing of this site. Can the mods/owners give us a little background on what sort of resources/budget this site has for maintenance? Do you need money to pay for support? What is the long-term outlook for this project? After contributing a decade plus of content to the old wildlandfire.com Hotlist and then having all of that work and info get lost, it’s a little un-nerving to have a major issue like this one persist for 4 months without resolution. Is this site going to be viable over the longer term?

Pyro is :100: correct, we want this site to continue. What can we do to help?

I agree, if we need to do something to keep this site going, please let us know. I would hate to lose all the collected knowledge and expierence documented here like we did with theysaid and the hotlist.

Bumping this thread. Is anyone moderating this site anymore? What’s the deal with maintenance?

Confused as to why it’s crickets when it comes to this mater.

I feel 10000% certain that if i posted content about the Wx geoengineering and/or something regarding how the earth isnt flat the post would be moderated lickety split!

Post something about picture upload issues and it’s radio silence. Seems weird?!

I think it’s site host issue but we should hear something especially since it’s been happening FOR SO LONG!!

I’ve heard RedZone started this site because they needed to have our intel to keep their private insurance dispatching center informed. Before this site was a thing, they relied on the old wildlandfire.com site for the same purpose. Now that Watch Duty is a thing, I’m thinking they might not need this site as much, business-wise. They started a non-profit to run the site, but I’ve never heard anything about its workings. Can anyone from that org tell us what’s going on with the site, or what the plan is to keep it running?

You can’t find anything on the wildfire community incorporated, not needing this site as much makes sense with watch duty being free for them to use and nation wide. Hopefully this place doesn’t get abandoned like a few car forums I was on.

Wildfireintel future?

It is really unfortunate that there is no information on what is going on and things are starting to fall apart (image uploads, avatars, and certain submenus return “issues”). This is/was a great and informative site that was so much more than what Watch Duty currently provides. It definitely has a place independent or unaffected by Watch Duty.

Would someone with the latest and most accurate information please let the users know if this is the beginning of the end? Are their any options to discontinuing it? What is the future?
