OR-RSF-Flat???

Looks like the Klondike scar is acting as a very good fuel break, the main fire and spots have shown minimal progression there.

It’s asking me for a password also. Usually means there’s individuals phone numbers on the iap.

my apologies… I thought that was from the public side.

The federal radio frequencies are controlled unclassified information, which is also a reason why IAPs may be password protected. The latest versions of the 205 and 206 are marked as such.

I pulled up a Sentinel satellite image of the Flat Fire captured last Friday at noon. Some interesting severity patterns, many not too surprising. The fire has burned pretty much exclusively within the 2002 Biscuit Fire scar, and many areas which burned hot in 2002 and were coming back in brush are burning hot again. Quite a few areas of forest which survived the Biscuit appear to have survived this one.

A contact on the local USFS District says they’ve done quite a bit of fuels work along the ridges where Biscuit was held in 2002 and that this has helped keep this fire in the Biscuit box so far.
Red areas in these images had high severity in the past week on the Flat Fire.

I’m on the flat fire and the fire is pretty much hung up, they were going to do some firing at in foxtrot and delta, which they decided not too. They are using a UAS for firing along with PSD. There hasn’t been much activity on the fire in 4 days. Alpha/delta is black lined and has been mopped and patrolled, they are talking about starting Rehab in those two parts of the fire.
